Assisting the Working Group on Finance Reform of the Task Force on Innovative Finance for Health Systems.
Background:
The creation of a Task Force on Innovative Finance for Health Systems was announced at a United Nations High-level Event in New York on 25 September 2008 to find new sources of financing to help developing countries achieve their health-related MDGs by 2015. The Task Force was divided into two Working Groups.
Services provided:
Our consultant assisted the Working Group on Finance Reform chaired by the Director General by:
- Participating in regular meetings in Stockholm and some internationally;
- Assisting in summarizing and writing up results of Working Group for the final report of the Task Force.
The consultant carried out the following activities:
- Collected background material for the report
- Participated in stakeholder consultations
- Participated in final working group workshop in Stockholm
- Participated in drafting working group report
