Seminar series on “Sexuality – A Missing Dimension in Development”
Organising a seminar series entitled “Sexuality – A Missing Dimension in Development” on sexuality, sexual rights, and development and final editing and design of summary of the concept paper with the same title.
Background:
During the period 2007-2008 work has been conducted internally at DESO to develop a concept paper on sexuality, sexual rights, and development entitled "Sexuality - A Missing Dimension in Development." The concept paper represents an attempt to highlight the importance of sexuality and sexual rights within international development work in which Sweden is involved. It also represents an attempt to illustrate the linkage between sex and sexuality and human rights, and to create an awareness of how sexuality and gender are important factors in socioeconomic development and the reduction of poverty. In order to launch the concept paper, and to contribute to dissemination and training, a seminar series was planned.
Services provided:
- Design of the seminar programs, in consultation with Sida;
- Invitations to and management of invited lecturers;

- Final editing of the concept paper, in consultation with Sida;
