Review of conflict sensitivity in the Swedish development cooperation
Our company reviewed the conditions and possibilities to ensure conflict sensitivity in the Swedish development cooperation. The review included an analysis of structural problems, practical obstacles and bottlenecks affecting conflict sensitivity of the implementation of development cooperation; a baseline study of conflict sensitivity of Sida's development cooperation, and recommendations for improving conflict sensitivity in Sida's development cooperation. Furthermore, this review explored how conflict sensitivity was integrated into Sida's contribution management system and programme officers' daily work on contributions and programmes / projects. The review also analyses cooperation strategies from a conflict sensitivity aspect.
Field visits were carried out to Georgia, Sri Lanka, and Uganda.
