Permanent Advisory Group Sida‘s Support to Health and Population Sector Program in Bangladesh
Background
Sweden has supported various programs/projects in the health and population sector in Bangladesh since 1975. From 1998 Sida gives support to the Health and population sector in Bangladesh. Under the Programme, the Government of Bangladesh is taking the lead in developing and implementing the sector programme, involving key stakeholders as appropriate. The Development Partners, including Sida, are channelling their support through the sector programme based on the Programme Implementation Plan, with funding in various ways.
Services provided
The Permanent Advisory Group provided Sida and the programme with information which made it possible to make decisions to take action in cases where the progress of the programme was not in line with its intended objective. The support provided inputs and actual knowledge about the programme to the Swedish Embassy in Bangladesh and the Health Division at Sida in Stockholm, in order to make a constructive dialogue possible between Sida, the other partners in the Donor Consortium, and the MOHFW.
