Overview of Swedish development cooperation in Central Asia

The assignment's objective was to provide an overview of Swedish development cooperation in Central Asia in the period of 1996-2010. The overview highlighted the strategic direction, main results and issues related to sustainability and the phase out.

The overview report contained:

• A summary account of the development cooperation between Sweden and Central Asia 1996-2010 focusing on the rationale, strategic choices, priorities and the modalities employed.
• A summary and discussion of the main experiences, results and issues related to sustainability.
• An illustration of the implications of the phase out.
