The main objective of the project was to restructure the training of health personnel and set up a Technical School for Health Professionals in Lubango.

Description of the project:

Technical assistance were foreseen for the development of institutional management and administration, elaboration of continuing training and curriculum development at basic and medium nurse training level. New proposals were built upon the curricula in use and on scrutiny of the results and shortcomings of the present training programmes. Information from local experienced teaching staff contributed to the sustainability of the project.

Services provided:

• Establishing an overall management and institutional system for the Nurse Training School in Lubango, including staff and health personnel to be trained;
• Elaborating curricula for continuing training for nurse tutors including evaluation criteria;
• Elaborating curricula for nurse training at basic and medium level including evaluation criteria.
