Public Health Specialist and Management Information System Advisor to the Health, Nutrition and Population Sector Program.
Background:
The Management Support Agency (MSA) established under HNPSP (Health, Nutrition and Population Sector Program) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of Bangladesh manages on its behalf the contracting, supervision and financing of a package of health, nutrition and population services by external agencies and institutions. MSA supports, through contract development and contract management, the Diversification of Service Provision (DSP) objectives of HNPSP on behalf of the MOHFW. Priorities are given to external suppliers of a package of HNP interventions that is cost-effective, pro-poor, gender balanced and health outcome oriented. The MSA also provides technical and logistical support to its governing body, the DSP Steering Committee. The MSA ensures that is has access to adequate resources of independent professional advice appropriate to the wide range of themes covered by the project.
Services provided:
The Public Health Specialist ensured that the objectives and scope of work of HNP service packages contracted-out fit with the priorities defined by the HNPSP and that all actions supported through MSA were of high technical quality.
The Management Information System Adviser played a key role in developing a suitable Management Information System that allows accurate and updated information on all activities of the MSA.
