Integration of Handicapped Children into School and Society
Follow-up study of the Sida supported project Integration of Handicapped Children into School and Society in Lithuania, 1989-1999. The project meant to develop new methods in social work with the aim of integrating disabled people.
The purpose of the follow-up was to find out the results of the project in relation to the original plan and provide a basis for a decision on a continuation. The follow-up comprised of studying literature, scrutinising documents, interviewing key actors and government representatives in Lithuania and Sweden, observing the work at institutions and schools and conducting discussions with experts.
