Health Sector Strategic Plan III, Technical Assistance to Local Government Authorities

Indevelop, as lead company, in association with Ramboll Project Management AB and Inter Consult Limited of Tanzania provide technical assistance to 44 Councils implementing rehabilitation of health facilities in Tanzania for a period of 24 months.

 

Objective of the assignment:

The main objective of this assignment is to provide technical assistance in assisting 44 selected councils to conform to the requirements of the JRF Procedures Manual and empower them with necessary technical skills. The specific objectives of the assignment are a) to assist the council engineers in developing proper procedures for the supervision of ongoing rehabilitation and certification of quality works, b) to make the preparation of tender documents, monitoring and supervision, d) to assist the Councils train Health Facilities Committee members in maintenance of  proper rehabilitation records.

 

Actual services provided so far:

The assignment started with an Inception Report containing an outline on how to carry out the task. The Inception Report summarizes findings from councils visited; analyses of problems encountered and recommendations on the way forward.
