Support to the Gender Equality Directorate of Serbia
The contract for gender equality consultancy services in Serbia within the project "Support to the Gender Equality Directorate of Serbia" funded by Sida, has been awarded to Indevelop. The Inception work will soon be initiated.
Gender Equality Directorate (GED) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia will be the main national counterpart during this assignment. GED's mandate is to prepare and oversee the implementation of the National Strategy for Improving the Position of Women and Promoting Gender Equality and the National Action Plan.
The overall objective of the Inception Programme is to support the current dynamics in the area of gender equality in Serbia with regards to the National Strategy for Improving the Position of Women and Promoting Gender Equality, Gender Equality Law and the National Action Plan for Gender Equality (NAP) by strengthening the capacity of mandatory actors in order to promote equality between women and men.
