Jens Wilkens joins Indevelop
Indevelop is happy to announce that Mr. Jens Wilkens will be joining the team as of April 1, 2011. Jens is a health economist with a focus on health financing, health system reforms, and health system performance assessment. From 2005-2009 he was employed at WHO as a health economist, first in Copenhagen and later in Geneva.
He comes most recently from the Swedish Committee for International Health, where he has been the managing director since 2009. He regularly teaches courses on health systems development and health care financing at both Uppsala University (Department for Women's and Children's Health) and Karolinska Institutet (Department of Public Health) and has consulted for Sida, the World Bank and WHO.
Jens has managed a number of health development projects, mainly in Eastern Europe, and worked with HSS components in disease and program specific projects. His country experience includes Armenia, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Georgia, Kenya, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and European Union countries. He speaks Swedish, English and Russian.
