Gender mainstreaming in Ukraine
Indevelop has been contracted by the Swedish Embassy in Kiev to establish a support mechanism for gender mainstreaming in three of Sida's contributions in Ukraine. A team of four international and two local gender specialists will work primarily with the implementing partners to support them with advocacy, methodology, implementation, training and monitoring for the following development projects:
- Advisory Support to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Implementer: Consortium led by SIPU International AB, 2010-2013
- Strengthening Local Democracy and Support for Local Government Reforms in Ukraine. Implementer: Council of Europe of Ukraine, 2009-2012
- Ivano-Frankivsk District Heating Project. Implementer: EBRD, 2009-2012
The assignment also includes a feasibility study for possible assistance aimed at promoting gender equality from the male perspective in Ukraine.
The established support will be disposable from 2010-2013.
