Contract Award: Sida International Training Programme - Peace and Security in Africa
The Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University (lead), the African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (Accord) and Indevelop have been contracted to implement the Sida International Training Programme Peace and Security in Africa.
The programme aims to increase the capacity of regional organisations in Sub-Saharan Africa to prevent, manage and resolve armed conflicts on the continent. The programme is directed towards African inter-governmental organisations and NGOs focusing on issues relating to peace and security in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The programme will be implemented annually between 2011-2013, with the first programme to be held in Uppsala in October 2011 with recruitment in May-June.
