Sida framework agreement: Human Rights

Human Rights and Democracy Consortium includes more than 80 highly qualified consultants, specialised in human rights and democracy. The Consortium is lead by Indevelop in cooperation with Global Reporting, Human Rights Team and Tana Copenhagen.

Human Rights systems, defenders and Human Rights Based Approach

  • Supporting/strengthening/developing human rights systems
  • Human Rights defenders
  • HRBA in sector program support
  • HRBA in budget support
  • Rights of the child

 Non Discrimination

  • Non discrimination of people living with disabilities
  • Non discrimination of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons
  • Non discrimination of children

Freedom of expression

  • Press freedom and media development, including economic sustainability of media, including audience research and aspects of technical convergence
  • Cultural diversity, cultural heritage, creative industry and right to cultural expressions
  • Free use of information and communication technology

 

Examples of services to be provided

-       Country/context analysis for input in strategy and policy processes, contribution processes, including feasibility studies and appraisals

-       Support, advice and coaching to Sida and/or partners when developing programmes and projects and during implementation and follow-up of programmes

-       Support, advice and coaching to Sida in global and regional advocacy or country level dialogue, negotiations

-       Portfolio reviews, desk studies, production of back ground documents/papers

-       Capacity development including training, development of training material, organising seminars etc.

-       Studies and analytical reports, thematic background documents, discussion papers, input to policy processes

-       Short and long term method support, including strengthening of Results Based Management in programme and strategy development
