Gender equality
Indevelop has key expertise in promoting gender equality. We work with public organizations, state and local governments to help strengthen their work process towards gender-aware working methods, commonly known as gender mainstreaming. We work to support sustainable gender mainstreaming processes and gender analytical work, making results-based management gender aware.
We have in-house competence and access to European networks of experts who have hands-on experience from gender budgeting work at Ministries of Finance, local government, and civil society organisations. Our network includes experts with substantial experience from Swedish, Nordic and EU work on gender as well as from working in transition and development contexts.
We work with development agencies such as Sida, EU, UNIFEM on women's economic empowerment (WEE), gender and land rights, men and gender equality, EU Gender Acquis and international conventions such as CEDAW. We do analysis of country programs, evaluations of projects and programs, advising agency officers in gender issues and gender dialogue development.
We work in post conflict situations and gender perspectives, with a focus on UN Conventions 1325, 1620 and 1820. We have a network of experts on gender based violence (GBV).
